Ken Jackson
Pastor Ken came to Smart Solutions Church in 1992 from a Church he pastored in Redmond, Oregon. Ken graduated from George Fox College with a B.A. in Business Administration, and was a businessman for seven years before becoming a pastor. He and his wife, Karen, have three children and three grandson

How I met my wife: At a Methodist church camp

How I became a Christian? Raised in a Christian home, fell away, brought back to Christ by a high school friend.
How I came to be at Impact Church? God sent me here in 1992 to pastor this church.
The best thing about being a Christian? Getting to know God better every day through my relationship with Christ.
Favorite movie: Time Bandits

Favorite food: French fries
How I spend my days off: Hunting, fishing, golfing, running and writing.
My funniest experience: I had a bad blooper in a sermon (I can’t say what I accidentally said; it would be censored).
Personal project I can’t wait to finish: Learning more about my computer programs.
My first job: Picking strawberries.
Best childhood memory: Going to the coast with my parents and grandparents.
Most powerful book I’ve ever read (besides the Bible) and why: The Tyranny of The Urgent (It makes me think about what really matters in life).
What I will ask Jesus when we meet?: What happened to Judas.
My prized possessions: My Bible. Really. Not just the Bible; my marked up, scuffed up, torn and wrinkled Bible.
Spiritual gifts: Teaching, leadership and administration.
A time when I felt very close to God: Hey, the great thing is, I’m closer to God right now as I write this than I’ve ever been before!

I would appreciate prayer for: Continuing to make my private time (adoring Jesus and hearing from God) an absolute non-negotiable in my life.
